What To Expect
Some patients receiving BOTOX Cosmetic report the injections feel like a pinch. You may begin to notice a visible smoothing of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines within 24 to 48 hours, with full results in 30 days lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.
BOTOX Cosmetic is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment the moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines will gradually return.

XEOMIN is a prescription medication that is injected into the muscles and is used to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults. Xeomin contains botulinum toxin type A, a protein purified from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

When you squint or frown, the muscles between your eyebrows contract, causing the skin to wrinkle and fold. Over time, as skin ages and loses elasticity, these repeated contractions can cause permanent frown lines. Botulinum toxin type A: the active ingredient in Xeomin®, acts on muscle nerve endings to prevent muscle fibers from contracting. By reducing these twitches, Xeomin® can temporarily reduce the lines between the brows.
You may begin to see visible smoothing as early as 3-4 days after injection. The median first onset of effect was less than a week. The maximum effect occurred at 30 days. The typical duration of effect was up to 3 months in clinical trials but may last significantly longer or shorter in individual patients.

A Restylane is a crystal clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. Restylane is crosslinked with BDDE, an ingredient that helps form a network of HA to provide a gel filler that lasts longer. Restylane is nonanimal based and free from animal protein.

A Restylane is injected into the skin with an ultrafine needle to plump the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds) or your lips.
A Restylane effects generally last six months and gradually disappears from the body. If you are treated again at 4 ½ or 9 months after your first treatment, Restylane can last up to 18 months.
